璜岗村位于临城镇西南方向，距县城7公里。据博雅地名网，村名与所在自然村横坑里的读音相近，以横坑里的谐音为名。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村中党员32人，设9个村民小组，户数217，人口855。林地有9944亩，耕地为1019亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时此地属古楼保。解放初期隶信和区古楼乡，1953年改归附城区，1956年有璜岗高级社之设，1957年9月以后归城郊乡管辖。[2]
1958年3月撤区并乡，同年10月公社化，划入城郊公社下属的一个大队。1961年体制划小，单设璜岗大队，1965年4月再隶城郊公社。1968年改为革委会革领组，1980年起由管委会管理。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年称临城镇璜岗村民委员会。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年1月，璜岗村获「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
