龙翔村位于临城镇南部，距上杭县城2公里。村名的来历是：解放前张滩处有一座龙翔塔，此地遂以塔名改称龙翔。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村中党员85名，设16个村民小组，人口688户、2503人。山林面积19109亩，其中有林地16399亩，耕地1666亩。[1]

此地气候温和，年平均气温约19度，年降水约1600至1900毫米，无霜期约300天；土壤肥沃，植被丰富。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时设龙翔保。1953年改设龙翔乡，隶附城区；1955年建初级社，1956年建高级社，1957年冬撤区并乡后归城郊乡。[2]

1958年公社化后隶城郊公社，称城郊公社龙翔大队；1961年体制划小后仍为龙翔大队。1966年文革期间一度改名卫东大队，1970年恢复龙翔之名，称革委会革领组，1980年起由管委会管理。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年称临城镇龙翔村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，省爱卫办命名龙翔村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
