富古村位于县城北端的城乡结合部，大部分行政区域在水西渡大桥南端上游，属临城镇管辖。[1][3]

村名的来历有两说：一说此地原称乌虎坝，因下坝村旁有一座山形似虎，后演变为富古；另一说，因乌古坝土地肥沃、物产丰富，故称富古。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

党员43人，村两委班子6人；耕地约600亩，另有山林地2000多亩。村中共10个村民小组，居民286户，共1100人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时此地属附城区松树保。解放初设农会分会，归附城区城北乡管辖。1955年设初级社，1956年并入高级社。[2]

1958年3月撤区并乡后属城郊乡，同年10月公社化，全村设7个生产队，隶城郊公社。1961年体制划小，设为富古大队，1968年改称革委会革领组，1980年起由管委会管理。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年称临城镇富古村民委员会。[2]

2021年11月，省爱卫办命名富古村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
