九州村位于县城汀江上游，是临城镇人口较多的行政村。博雅地名网的村名写作九州，政府网站的部分表述作九洲，两种字形并见。[1][3]

村名的由来，据博雅地名网转引《上杭县志》称，此地古称「长汀村」，唐代曾为长汀县衙驻地，后称旧州，再改称九洲。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

全村下辖4个自然村，有21个村民小组，共626户、2633人，耕地1919亩，山林6872亩，其中竹林500亩。以上数字见于博雅地名网，未注明统计年份。[1]

村里以台湾蜜雪梨为主导产业，2021年10月被龙岩市农业农村局认定为「龙岩市2021年市级一村一品专业村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋、元、明三代此地属上杭县，清代属县城之内。1929年土地革命时期，此地归基层乡建制管辖。解放初属旧县区三益乡，后划入附城区。[2]

1956年设九洲高级社，1958年公社化后隶属城郊公社九洲大队。1984年起为城郊乡下属村，1986年改属临城乡，1993年改称临城镇九洲村民委员会。[2]

文化[edit]

2017年7月，农业部把九州村列为「第七批全国一村一品示范村镇」，产品为九翠洲蜜雪梨。[1]

2020年12月，村进入「2019年度福建省一村一品示范村」名单；2021年11月，省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2021年12月，村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」；2025年3月，被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
