镇南社区是福建省龙岩市上杭县临江镇下辖的社区，位于县城中心地段，濒临汀江。[1][2] 社区名称取自其位于临江镇南部的方位。[1] 2002年撤销镇南居委会，同年改设镇南社区居民委员会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

镇南一带宋端平元年（1234年）已有建置，属来苏里；明、清时期属在城里。[3] 民国保甲制时分为上南保、下南保，隶城厢镇；解放初两保并为双南里，归附城区。[3]

附城区改为第一区后，名称仍为双南里。[3] 1953年起称城关镇镇南街，公社化后归城关公社镇南大队；1966年一度称红武大队。[3] 1980年改为城关镇镇南居民委员会，1986年改为临江镇镇南居民委员会，2002年9月起改设镇南社区居民委员会。[3]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，镇南社区被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1] 2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名镇南社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
