镇中社区是福建省龙岩市上杭县临江镇下辖的社区，位于上杭县城区中心，是县城政治、文化中心。[1][2] 社区名称出自1953年的镇中街，当时由俊忠里、英明里、双南里各划出一部分居民合并而成。[1] 2002年9月起设立镇中社区居民委员会。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带宋端平元年（1234年）已属来苏里，明、清时期归在城里。[3] 民国时属城厢区，解放初归附城区，随后附城区改为第一区。[3]

1953年，俊忠里、英明里与双南里各划出一些居民，组成镇中街，隶属城关镇。[1][3] 公社化后为城关公社镇中大队，1966年一度称红兴大队。[3] 1980年改为城关镇镇中居民委员会，1986年随镇名更为临江镇镇中居民委员会，2002年9月起居委会更名为镇中社区居民委员会。[3]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，镇中社区被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，获「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1] 2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名镇中社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1] 2021年2月，该社区入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]
