中坪村是红山乡下辖的行政村，距乡政府所在地约10.5公里，辖有7个自然村。[1]

名称[edit]

村子位于旧时葛坪大队的中部，村名因此而来：上方是上坪，下方是下坪，此处居中，故称中坪。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土地革命时期此地称红中乡；大革命失败后至解放初又称中坪村。土改后并入中溪乡，乡政府设于磜下。[1]

1956年取消区建制、合并为乡，中坪乡由此设立；1958年改为中坪大队，直到1984年才转为中坪村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2023年12月，中坪村被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
