宣成乡位于福建省龙岩市长汀县南部，东面与上杭县南阳镇交界，南邻上杭县官庄乡，西与羊牯乡接壤，北面连接濯田镇与涂坊镇，距长汀县城62千米。[1]

乡内的杨成武故居位于下畲村，是开国上将杨成武的出生地与成长地，2013年列入福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年，此地设为长汀县第九区。1958年改称赤男公社，1960年更名为宣成公社，1984年改为宣成乡。[1][2]

1994年，原辖区分设宣成、羊牯两乡。[2]

地名由来[edit]

据传清宣统年间，当地为统一六个自然村，取名为宣成。[2]

地理环境[edit]

乡境位于县域南部。关于面积，百度百科作92平方千米，博雅地名网作约159平方公里，两说均未注明统计年份。[1][2]

经济[edit]

乡内以种植水稻、薯类与蔬菜为主，烟叶、木材与油桐也有出产。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

位于下畲村的杨成武故居，由一处客家府第式的老宅、一座厅堂楼阁式的新宅以及池塘组成。老宅占地306平方米，新宅占地750平方米。[5]

乡内建有张赤男烈士纪念碑。[2]

著名人物[edit]

杨成武（1914—2004），原名杨能俊，长汀县宣成人，开国上将，曾任全国政协副主席。[2][3]

钟池（1915—1978），1915年12月生于中畲村，早年参加红军，后任成都军区政治部副主任，1964年晋升少将。[4]
