当坑村是策武镇的行政村，地处集镇以南约7公里，下辖9个自然村，东南侧与河田镇相邻[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

一种传说认为，村名来自南弯十八洞之中的一个洞穴[1]。此地以前为林坑乡，1964年分成三个大队，1984年又改设村民委员会[1]。

2021年12月，村里被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」；2023年2月列入「第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单；2023年12月入选「龙岩市2023年度乡村振兴示范村镇」名单；2024年1月被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2025年11月，村里的河田鸡产业被认定为「福建省2025年度省级一村一品专业村」[1]。
