红坊村是涂坊镇的集镇所在地，村名寄托了村民对日子红红火火的期望。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年以前，此地为先丰社，设有镇机构；1958年至1959年称大队，1960年至1963年为农场，1964年起称红坊大队，1984年以后改制为村民委员会。[1]

20世纪70年代，因修建溪源水库，村内耕地被淹没，村庄成为库区移民村。[1]

经济[edit]

2012年，村里设立了两个农民合作组织：槟榔芋协会与油茶合作社。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年12月，本村列入福建省2023年度「一村一品」专业村名单，产品为槟榔芋。[1]

2024年1月，本村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
