小金村在四都镇西南约24公里处，与红山乡和江西省瑞金市交界，是革命基点村。村名的来历，据博雅地名网，是旧时这里有一个富商家藏许多黄金，附近一带遂称大金、小金。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初属琉璃乡，公社化后设小金大队；1984年起称村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村内林地中有4000多亩属省级圭龙山自然保护区。[1]

2023年1月、2024年1月，小金村先后被命名为2022年度、2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
