荣坑村在四都镇北部，位于武夷山脉一带，与江西省瑞金市的泽潭乡接壤。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

最早姓熊的人家在此开基，地名叫熊坑，明末清初改称荣坑。博雅地名网释“荣”取繁荣昌盛之意。[1]

解放后设建制村；1980年复称荣坑大队，1984年定名为荣坑村民委员会。[1]

2021年1月，荣坑村被命名为2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，被命名为2022年度同一称号。[1]
