四都镇在长汀县西南部，地处闽赣交界的山区，是县内的革命老区。镇内现存多处红色旧址，都是福建省文物保护单位。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

四都旧称陈屋、廖屋。据博雅地名网，元代划分“都”的建制时此地排在第四，遂改称四都。[1]

清康熙二十五年至光绪五年（1686至1879年）此地属成上里。民国初期仍沿用清代的建制，1939年改设乡公所。[2]

1950年8月，四都区设立，驻地在埔头村。红楼公社在1965年2月并入四都公社。1984年，公社体制撤销，改设乡，名为四都乡；1996年，乡改为镇。[2]

博雅地名网记全镇有18个革命基点村，约占全县的一半。[1]

2014年9月，环境保护部把「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予四都镇。2021年1月、2023年1月、2024年1月，四都镇先后被命名为2020年度、2022年度、2023年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

海拔高度为270至771米。境内属亚热带湿润性季风气候，平均气温18℃，无霜期247至338天。辖区面积，博雅地名网两处分别记为329.4平方千米和约340.3平方千米，两处均未注明年份。[1][2]

境内有钨矿、锡矿、稀土矿、高岭土、硅石和花岗岩等矿产资源。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

位于红都村的「中共福建省委及中共汀西县委、县苏维埃旧址世昌公祠」建于清代，由门楼、雨坪、下厅、天井和上厅组成。1930年5月，中共四都区委和区苏维埃在此成立；1934年汀西县委、县苏维埃设于此；在1934年10月至1935年1月间，中共福建省委也曾设在此处。[3][8]

位于红都村的「红四军会议旧址协和店」原为客店，建于清末。红四军于1929年3月12日头一次进入福建，抵达四都，毛泽东当晚住在此处，并在这里召开红四军团以上干部会议，商定进军闽西后的行动方向。[4]

位于汤屋村的「中共福建省委、省苏维埃政府机关驻地旧址凝春晖」建于清代。1934年红军主力长征后，省委和省苏维埃机关迁来四都山区，1935年1月再迁至此；同年2月，瞿秋白、何叔衡途经这里并曾在此居住。[5]

位于楼子坝村的「毛泽覃旧居刘氏茂元公祠」建于清末。1934年10月至1935年4月，毛泽覃以中央苏区分局委员的身份留在中央苏区，曾居住于此。[6]

位于渔溪村的「福建军区后方总医院制药厂旧址长森公祠」建于清代。1933年2月起，这里设有福建军区后方总医院所属的制药厂，利用当地中草药研制药品，供应红军医院和地方民众。[7]

以上五处旧址都在2018年由省政府列入第九批省级文物保护单位。[3][4][5][6][7]
