美溪村位于濯田镇南部，村境与十多个行政村相邻，村中有溪流经过。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村边有溪，故名美溪。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年11月，村地设一个村，隶属羊牯乡，次年成立农会。1951年春，撤村建制，另设乡政府。此后经历了互助组、初级社、高级社等阶段。1958年5月，本村与邻村合并为一乡。同年秋，设「红专」公社。1959年3月，改为濯田人民公社辖下的管理区，下设5个大队。1965年9月，并入濯田公社，改为大队。1984年10月，大队改为美溪村。1988年2月，本村析为两个行政村。[2]
