梅迳村位于濯田镇东部边缘，东面与涂坊镇丘坑相邻，南邻长兰村，西接露潭村，北与刘坊村交汇。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子形如梅花，村头称小迳，村尾称梅子坝，于是得名梅迳。[1]

概况[edit]

村内山林广大，植被保护良好，林业在村中占重要位置。耕地主要种植水稻、烤烟和槟榔芋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1942年（民国三十一年），梅迳村隶属三水乡，保甲仍属原来的保。1949年4月，三水乡拆分，梅迳改属梅源保。[1]

何叔衡殉难处[edit]

梅迳是中共一大代表何叔衡的殉难地。1935年2月，何叔衡在转移途中被敌军围困，为掩护同志突围而跳崖殉难。村中立有何叔衡烈士死难处纪念碑，是「福建省第十一批省级文物保护单位」。[1][2]
