刘坊村距濯田集镇约10.5公里，与永巫、河东两村相邻，村中有一幢清代的范氏古民居。[2]
地名由来[edit]
相传明代刘姓最先在此开基，村因此得名。[1]
概况[edit]
2012年，村中有235户、1287人，设7个村民小组。[1]
古民居[edit]
范氏古民居始建于清代嘉庆年间，为厅堂式砖木结构，三栋两摆一空坪，空坪四周为莲花鱼池，占地一千五百多平方米。据民间史料，村中富户范有书捐粮赈灾，州府上奏朝廷，获赐「司马第」封号。咸丰十年（1860年）十月所立的「司马第」木匾，至今仍悬挂在下厅梁上。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1959年3月，刘坊隶属水连管理区，为其中一个大队。1960年并入邻近大队，1961年3月又划出，另设刘坊大队。1965年9月，刘坊与邻近二村合为一个大队。1988年2月，原大队析为三个行政村，刘坊为其中之一。[1]
