河东村与水口村隔河相望，东连刘坊村，南靠梅迳村，西临水口村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村在汀江东岸，因此称为河东。[1]

圩场[edit]

20世纪30年代初，河东街子上设有圩场，逢三、八为圩日。1935年后，圩场停办。[1]

概况[edit]

2012年，村内有七个自然村，划分为5个村民小组，共215户、1125人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年4月，设乡后，河东仍属原来的保。建国后划归邻村，陆续组织农会分会、互助组，并经历初级社、高级社。1960年春，大队重新划分，河东单设为一个大队。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年6月，河东村名列福建省高级版绿盈乡村第四批公布名单。[1]
