刘坑头村位于濯田镇南部，东与湖头村相接，南面与园当、塍背、连湖等村相邻。[1]
地名由来[edit]
最早的住户是刘姓，住在一处坑头，因此得名刘坑头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国后，刘坑头划入邻村所在的乡。1956年冬，三个初级社并入邻村，成立高级社。1958年5月划入水莲乡，同年9月编入「五一」公社。1961年下半年，单独成立刘坑头大队；1965年又并入邻近大队。1988年2月，刘坑头析出，设为行政村。[2]
