上庙村位于濯田集镇所在地，南与下洋村、巷头村相接，北与中坊村为邻，村内林地占土地的大部分。[1]

地名由来[edit]

集镇尚义街的上下两端各有一座庙宇，上方的庙供奉「西楚霸王」，因此这一带称为上庙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年11月前后，上庙与周边数村同归林田村。1958年9月，上庙编入「五一」公社第一营第五连。1961年5月，村中设大队，属濯田小公社。1984年，上庙大队改称上庙村。[1]
