中坊村位于濯田集镇所在地，东接街上村，南与上庙村相连，西北与坝尾村以河为界。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名的前身是中王村。旧时集镇居民按水流方向分为若干片，中坊居其中，原称中王；后因避讳，改称中坊。[1]

概况[edit]

2000年统计，村境土地约2626亩，村中设10个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，农会在濯田乡内设中坊代表。随后组织互助组，又办初级社与高级社。1961年5月起，中坊为濯田小公社下的大队。1965年合并入濯田大队，此后改称片；1966年8月复为大队，下设六个生产队。1984年10月，定名为中坊村。[1]
