街上村是濯田镇集镇区的核心村，镇人民政府设在村内，全镇的行政、商贸与文教活动多集中于此。[3]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自集镇上的几段街道，包括上街、中街和新街，尚义街的一部分，以及溪背、寒婆寨、围子哩等地段。[1]

概况[edit]

村内设11个村民小组，2013年有393户、1897人，土地总面积2786亩，其中耕地1059亩。濯田河穿村而过，村民以商贸、手工业和农业为生计。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年9月，这里成立「五一」人民公社，集镇所在地设为第一营。1966年，街上一带的分片名称几经更改，后定名为「红旗」片；1978年恢复为「街上」片名。[2]

1984年10月，街上大队改为街上村。[2]
