南田迳村位于南山镇，村名取自村南田地中间的一条小迳。[1]
明末清初，易、陈、丘、萧四姓先后从永定、上杭迁来定居。解放初，此地归南山乡；1958年9月划入中南公社南山乡，次年中南公社改名南山公社。1961年南田迳单独设队，1984年起为村民委员会。[1]
