邓坊村位于南山镇东北部，离镇政府约15公里，夹在桥下村与连屋岗村之间。村中最先定居的是邓姓，故称邓坊；其后钟、吴、詹三姓相继迁入，如今已不见邓姓人家。[1]

1961年，邓坊与桥下各为一个大队，同属中复公社；1965年2月，邓坊划入南山公社；1984年后设为村民委员会。[1]

2020年12月，邓坊村列名「2020年度福建省一村一品示范村」，产品为百香果；2021年10月，龙岩市将其认定为「龙岩市2021年市级一村一品专业村」（百香果）；2021年12月，获评「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
