地名由来[edit]
余姓人早年在此定居，并以“余地”为名，之后余姓族人迁离。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
该地曾是闽粤赣纵队第七团的团部所在地。村中有8位烈士，另有15名失散红军。[1][2]
1981年由原大队分设余地大队，1984年设为余地村委会。[1]
2023年1月，该村获评2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
