南山下村是河田镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东部，距河田集镇10.5公里，为汀江支流刘源河的源头之一。[1][2][3]

村名来自清末钟姓人迁入开基时，村址靠近偏南的山脚。村中保有“狮子公”石神的信仰。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

清末，钟姓人迁入此地开基，村址靠着南面山脚，故名南山下。[1]

2006年6月，南山下村被中央部门与宝龙集团定为新农村建设的试点村。[2]

经济[edit]

百度百科称，村里以河田鸡养殖为主，一家专业合作社采用“公司+农户”的经营模式。[3]

文化[edit]

村中以卢姓居多，供奉“狮子公”石神，据传这一信仰已有千年。[3]
