中街村是河田镇下辖的行政村，位于河田集市主街道的中段，村名由此而来。[1]

村内的中街李氏下大屋是客家府第式建筑，2013年1月28日被列为福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属河田乡，解放后属河田镇；合作化时属裕光高级社，公社化时属河田公社。1962年，河田街因人口多而分设大队，本村为其中之一，1984年改为中街村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

下大屋分前后两个院落，朝向东北。前院由大门、下厅、中厅、上厅和右侧横屋组成；后院有下厅与上厅，多为两层阁楼，屋顶为硬山顶。[2][3]
