下街村是河田镇下辖的行政村，位于河田集市主街道的下段，村名由此而来。镇人民政府驻在该村。[1][2]

村内的下街余氏家庙为清代建筑，是福建省第八批省级文物保护单位。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地属河田乡，解放后设河田镇，公社化时属河田公社。1962年成立下街大队，1984年改为下街村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

余氏家庙坐东北朝西南，由大门、下厅、左右通廊和上厅构成，门墙用沙灰包砌，墙体坚固。下厅为三开间的一进，上厅为三开间带卷棚前廊。[4]

家庙于2013年1月28日被列入第八批省级文物保护单位名单。[3]
