刘陈村是童坊镇东部的行政村，位于长汀县东部，距长汀县城36公里，距镇政府约6.5公里。村名得自唐末在此开基的陈、刘、郭三姓人。[1]

人口与地理[edit]

村落面积约6平方公里。据博雅地名网，村中368户，人口1526人（年份未注），共有7个自然村，分成11个村民小组。童坊河自西向东从村中部流过。[1][2]

村内耕地1332亩，山林8009亩，其中生态林3403亩。村民由陈、李、童、邓、邱、曾、赖等七姓组成。[2]

1989年9月，刘陈村民委员会成立。[1]

经济以种植水稻、烤烟为主，外出务工的人也较多。[2]
