新畲村是童坊镇下辖的行政村，距镇政府所在地约4公里，村中有南馆公路经过。村内有三个自然村，村民多居住在山脚两侧。[1][2]

据博雅地名网，全村190户，858人，男女分别为419人与439人；年逾六十的村民约占13%（年份未注）。[2]

全村总土地面积9388亩，其中林地7443亩，非林地1110亩，原耕地835亩。村地以山林为主，中间有一条小河。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初属童坊区林田乡，1957年属童坊乡，辖新畲高级社。1961年大队一分为二。1984年后设新畲村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

新畲村先后被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」和「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」，命名时间依次为2023年1月和2024年1月。[1]
