童坊村是童坊镇的中心村，镇人民政府设在该村。村名得自宋代一支童姓人在此开基，村因之称童坊。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1952年9月，童坊设为乡建制，隶属童坊区。[2]
1961年，童坊与刘坑各设为一个大队；1984年两个大队重新合为一体，改设童坊村民委员会，村域含刘坑自然村。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
村下设22个村民小组、5个党小组，党员96人。博雅地名网记载村民总人口3568人，村辖区人口8000余人（年份未注）。[2]
村内耕地2438亩，林地16608亩，其中生态公益林3356亩。经济以烤烟和水稻种植为主，烤烟种植面积800亩。[2]
文化与名胜[edit]
村内有童小鹏故居，又称畊读居，始建于清末，为土木结构的客家民居，占地约2000平方米。童小鹏是原中共中央统战部副部长，他的故乡即是童坊村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年1月，童坊村被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
