历史沿革[edit]
村名源于苏区时期设立的汀东县。1958年公社化时，这里组建为汀东大队；1984年改称汀东村民委员会。[2]
文化[edit]
2020年12月，本村入选「2020年度福建省“一村一品”示范村（米粉）」名单，同月还被评定为「龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村」。[2]
2021年10月，本村获龙岩市农业农村局列为「龙岩市2021年市级“一村一品”专业村（米粉）」。同年11月，福建省爱卫办授予本村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[2]
2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将本村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年2月，本村成为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[2]
