余陂村位于新桥镇北部，在汀江河畔、笔架山脚下，距镇区约3公里，距长汀县城约18公里。[2]
地名由来[edit]
村名最初写作「油米山」，因村中多种油茶。此后读音有变，先写作油陂山，再演变为余陂。[1]
人口[edit]
两种说法的户数与人口不同：博雅地名网称全村175户、773人，百度百科称262户、862人。[1][2]
物产与自然[edit]
村中种植东魁杨梅、鹰嘴水蜜桃和草莓，并有桂花。[2]
村内有红豆杉群，据《新桥年鉴》，境内天然红豆杉多达500余棵。[2][3]
荣誉[edit]
2025年3月，村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。2023年2月，入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2021年12月，被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
