刘坊村位于新桥镇西部，地处汀江源头，距镇政府约7公里，距长汀县城约21公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
1667年，刘氏族人迁入此地开基，村因此得名。此后1750年至1768年间，傅氏、胡氏陆续迁入，刘姓逐渐迁走，现以胡、傅两姓为主。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1988年，村从原先的合并村中分出，独立设村。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村现有628人、123户，分为3个村民小组。耕地198亩，山林2051亩，其中竹林906亩。[1]
村中种植烤烟、槟榔芋和水稻，劳动力主要靠外出务工增加收入。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2012年，村被列为市级贫困村。2021年1月，被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2023年1月，被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，被命名为「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]
