马头山村位于古城镇东南方，距集镇约16公里，属高海拔的边远山区村，平均海拔620多米。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村后有一座山，形状像马头，村名因此而来。[1]

自然与生计[edit]

村里共有11个自然村，耕地266亩，林地1.6万亩，其中毛竹林1.2万亩。村民收入以毛竹和外出务工为主。近年来冻雨频繁，毛竹林受损较重。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，村子属古城乡青山保辖区；解放初期划为古城区上都乡。1958年公社化后并入一个大队，1961年复设马头山大队，1984年改设马头山村民委员会。[2]
