古城镇位于福建省龙岩市长汀县西部，地处闽赣两省交界，西邻江西省瑞金市，是福建西部的门户。镇域面积236平方公里，距长汀县城约22公里。[1]

镇内以丘陵山地为主，林业资源丰富。据县政府网站，全镇林地约31.5万亩，其中竹林18万亩，是龙岩市毛竹面积最大的乡镇。丁黄村的丁屋岭保留着客家山寨的原始村落风貌，镇内的隘岭古驿道则是客家先民入汀的旧路，红色革命旧址也有多处。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

五代闽国年间（934年）此地已有城池，至南宋绍兴元年（1131年）起被叫作“古城寨”，后简化为今名。[3] 新中国成立后，这里先后设为第十三区、古城区和古城公社，1984年改为乡，1993年建镇。[2][3]

“古城暴动”发生于此，汀西游击队以古城为主要活动地，中共汀瑞县委直属的地下秘密支部也曾在古城成立并开展活动。[1]

地理环境[edit]

古城镇属武夷山脉丘陵地带，地势南高北低，境内有双脊岽、半天岽等山峰，海拔均在1000米以上。[2] 古城河流经境内，汇入赣江。[1][2] 气候属亚热带季风性湿润气候，年平均降雨量在1600至1800毫米之间。[2]

厦蓉高速、赣龙铁路与319国道经过镇域。[1]

经济[edit]

农业以烤烟、水稻和莲子种植为主，林下经济有茶油、白芨、羊肚菌、竹荪和蜂蜜。[1] 竹木加工是传统产业，产品有竹板材、竹筷、竹炭等。[1] 近年来，镇里还发展了模块化建筑、钢结构构件等绿色建材产业。[1]

文化与名胜[edit]

丁黄村的丁屋岭是一处客家山寨，据百度百科，村落已有800多年历史，至今保留原始的村落形态。[4] 县政府网站称丁屋岭获得国家级历史文化名村等荣誉。[1]

隘岭一带的古驿道人称“茶马古道”，客家先民由此入汀，如今经修缮后用来开展党性教育。[1]

毛铭新印刷所被认为是中央苏区最早的红色印刷所之一，永源祥红色交通站则处在中央红色交通线于福建境内的终点。[1]

荣誉[edit]

县政府网站称古城镇是省级文明乡镇。[1] 2014年，环境保护部授予古城镇「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。[3] 2024年1月，古城镇被认定为「2023年度龙岩市“平安乡镇（街道）”」。[3]

著名人物[edit]

县政府网站称古城镇孕育了开国少将彭胜标。[1] 据百度百科，他在1934年10月受命前往古城，组织起一支游击队，自任队长。[5]
