七古村位于镇域西北部山区，距县城约12公里。村域内的三个自然村是七古树下、李坑寨和禾尚坪。[1]

村中郑坊河畔有一棵老树，根部生出七条粗藤，藤蔓跨过河面，人可攀援往来，村名“七古树下”即由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初村属大同区。1958年公社化时归大同公社，设七古大队；1961年一度独立设公社，1965年后隶属他社，1971年并入附城公社。1984年起设七古村民委员会。[1]

2009年，镇党委政府在同乐小区建设新村，启动造福工程，将李坑寨、禾尚坪两个自然村的117户472人迁入。2012年12月，全村整体搬至同乐小区七古新村。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年1月，七古村被命名为2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又被命名为2023年度同一称号。[1]
