利星村距县城约5公里，属城郊村，国道319线穿村而过。村名本无，1958年公社化时由政府命名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放初村属城关区，后随撤区并乡归入他乡。公社化的1958年，村中设利星大队；1984年，改为利星村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
牛岭是红军长征经过的遗址，现称牛岭风景区。近年经地方人士逐步修缮，园内建有五路财神殿、罗公祖师殿、天后宫、观音亭等建筑。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年1月，利星村被命名为2020年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又被命名为2023年度同一称号。[1]
