新庄村位于县城南郊，距县城约3.5公里。村名原作梁家庄，早年为梁姓人聚居之地。后将梁家庄、董屋、罗屋、槐滩几处连成一片，改名新庄。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初村属大同区，1957年划归城关镇，1958年后隶城关公社。1965年改属附城公社并设新庄大队；1981年附城改称大同，1984年起设新庄村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2023年1月，新庄村经司法部、民政部命名为「第九批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]

2020年12月，新庄村被认定为「龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村」；2021年2月，又上榜「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]

2023年1月，新庄村被命名为2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
