东关村位于县城东南一隅，坐落在汀江与龙陂河汇流处的西岸，镇政府驻地即在村中。因地处县城东郊，清代曾驻兵营，村名为东关。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放初村属大同区；1957年并入城关镇，1958年起归城关公社东关管理区。1960年设东关大队，1965年改属附城公社。1981年附城改称大同，村仍设东关大队，1984年起设东关村委会。[1]

2004年前后，村里1200余亩耕地已全部被征用，村民多以经商和务工为生。[2]

文化[edit]

2023年1月，东关村被命名为2022年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」。[1]
