汀州镇位于长汀县中部，县人民政府驻地在镇域之内，汀州古城也在镇内，是县城的主要部分。[1][3]
镇内古迹较多，汀州古城墙、汀州文庙、三元阁、汀州试院等都是文物保护单位，其中汀州古城墙于2013年列入全国重点文物保护单位。[5][6][7][8][9]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代在此设汀州，宋、元、明、清先后设郡、路、府，此处一直是州府的治所。[3][2]
1931年，中央苏区在此设立汀州市。1949年后这里先设第一区，1956年改称城关区，1958年建城关镇，同年改为城关公社，1965年复建为镇，1984年更名为汀州镇。[3][1]
地理环境[edit]
镇域东面和北面与大同镇相接，南面连接策武镇，西面与古城镇为邻。[1]
汀江流经镇区，汀州城墙沿江呈弧形展开。[6]
人口与民族[edit]
截至2019年末，镇内户籍人口为79275人。[1]
经济[edit]
2019年末，镇内工业企业共有110个。[1]
汀州豆腐干被列为闽西「八大干」之一，镇上还有纸制品、竹木制品的生产。[4]
文化[edit]
汀州镇在2025年3月获得第七届全国文明村镇的称号。此前的2024年1月，它又以2023年度龙岩市「平安乡镇（街道）」的身份受到认定。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
汀州古城墙始建于唐大历四年（769年），后经多个朝代重修。城墙从汀江北岸一带向东西伸展，东端和西端都接到卧龙山的山脊上，半座卧龙山因此被圈在城中。1996年列为福建省第四批省级文物保护单位，2013年3月被公布为第七批全国重点文物保护单位。[5][6]
汀州文庙在西门街社区内，地址为兆征路20号。它的建造时间为1133年（宋绍兴三年），现存建筑为明代所建。1996年，它被列入第四批省级文物保护单位，如今用作长汀县非物质文化遗产展示馆。[7]
三元阁是汀州城墙的组成部分，始建于唐大历年间，明崇祯年间改称现名，名称取自科举考试中的「三元」。2013年列为全国重点文物保护单位。[9]
汀州试院的建筑群始建于宋代，明清时是汀州八县的科举考场。1932年3月，省内工农兵代表在此集会，会上组建了福建省苏维埃政府。1988年，国务院公布它为全国重点文物保护单位，目前这里设有长汀革命历史陈列馆。[8]
长汀县博物馆设于福建省苏维埃政府旧址内，1962年2月开馆。[10]
店头街位于西门街社区一带，南北走向，全长466米。北宋时已有市集，明清时发展为商业街区，2011年被评为中国历史文化名街，2023年晋升为国家级旅游休闲街区。[11][12]
镇内的中央苏区红色医院旧址（博雅地名网称福音医院）是一处红色遗址。[4]
著名人物[edit]
