合溪乡辖内有一个名叫王社的行政村，位于乡境之中。[1]

村名的由来与地表和姓氏有关：土质以黄泥沙为主，聚居的多是王姓人家，而「沙」与「社」读音相同，故而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

往前说，1949年以前这里归堂堡乡的王社保管辖。新中国成立后改属第七区，隶于菜地村。1958年以合溪英雄公社王社大队的名义存在；1984年4月，王社村民委员会成立，延续至今。[1]

2023年1月与2024年1月，本村先后取得2022年度、2023年度龙岩市「平安村居（社区）」的命名。[1]

经济[edit]

村里种的主要是水稻，经济作物则以花卉和巴戟天为大宗。[1]

2024年6月，王社村被确定为龙岩市永定区2024年区级「一村一品」专业村。[1]
