桂坪村位于湖山乡南部，东接本乡黄坑村及平和县芦溪镇，西邻里佳村，距县城64公里，是全乡姓氏最多的行政村。[1]

名称[edit]

村名取自桂竹洋和上坪两个自然村各一字，1984年设立。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

此地1950年前隶属平和县。1951年改隶永定，设立第十区，编为三香乡。1958至1961年间属下洋火箭公社的一个管理区；1961至1965年间分为上坪、桂竹坪两个大队，1965年后并为桂坪大队。1984年改为湖山乡桂坪村民委员会。[1][3]

姓氏宗族[edit]

全村有唐、李、游、陈、曾、谢六姓。唐姓自广东大埔的茶阳迁入，李姓由本县湖坑镇迁入，游姓来自平和县秀峰乡，陈姓来自平和县芦溪镇，曾姓来自本县下洋镇。[2][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

2005年，上坪自然村村民集资在石拱桥上建成一座凉亭，亭顶以琉璃瓦镶嵌，两条大龙盘绕而上，是村中最壮观的建筑。[2]

山下自然村的大土圆楼为四层两圈，外圈每层48间，直径72米。[2]

经济[edit]

村民以农业为主，烤烟和红柿是较快见效的种植项目。村中探明有锡、稀土等矿，但尚未开采。[2]

2021年十一月，桂坪村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2026年6月，村庄被确认为「龙岩市永定区2023年区级一村一品专业村」。[1]
