外坑村是福建省龙岩市永定区岐岭镇下辖的行政村，村址位于“坪水坑”大口的外侧。[1]2011年，村被县列为新农村建设示范村之一。[1]全村有7个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来由：村地处“坪水坑”大口之外，故称外坑。[1]

新中国成立前，村址属中金区笙东乡的坪水保。之后归下洋区笙竹乡所辖；1958年公社化时划入火箭公社，设外坑大队，1961年改隶笙竹公社，1971年并入岐岭公社。1984年起隶属岐岭乡，2020年1月起隶属岐岭镇。[1]

村先后三次获「龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号，分别在2021年1月（2020年度）、2023年1月（2022年度）与2024年1月（2023年度）。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积5.8平方千米，耕地830亩，山地9560亩。[1]

村民收入主要依靠竹业、烤烟与晚秋黄花梨等种植，并有较多人外出务工。[1]
