龙湖村位于岐岭镇集镇之内，是镇域的政治、经济与文化中心，通往县城、湖坑、陈东和下洋的要道在此交汇。[1]村中设团村、张屋、陈屋、江屋、梅树下、大坪头等自然村，以卢氏为大姓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来历：最早迁来此地开居的人见四周林木层叠苍翠，中间低洼似湖，遂取名「龙湖」。[1]

旧时此村属中金区笔东乡的龙湖保。解放后划入下洋二区，此后归陈东十一区的岐岭乡管辖；1958年随公社化改设岐岭公社。自1984年起隶属岐岭乡，2020年1月起改隶岐岭镇。[1]

2021年11月，龙湖村获福建省爱卫办授予「福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域面积6.2平方千米，村内山林7510亩，耕地426亩。[1]

人口[edit]

全村有359户、总人口1076人，设7个村民小组，劳动力496人（博雅地名网所载，年份未注明）。[1]村内共有11个姓氏，卢氏为大姓，约387人，在全村人口中的比例为36%。[1]

经济[edit]

村中产业以竹器厂与农副产品加工为主，居民生计则以种植红柿和养猪为主。[1]
