历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据说是先祖迁来湖河开基时，在金丰溪畔建屋；原住此地的是湖山李姓，村人为纪念原祖地，取「湖」字并配以河旁之义，遂有此名。[1]
1949年前此地属中金区筀东乡霞湖保，1949年后先后归下洋二区与陈东十一区，1958年归岐岭公社设大队。1984年起隶属岐岭乡，2020年1月起划归岐岭镇。[1]
2021年11月，湖河村获福建省爱卫办授予「福建省卫生村」称号；2020年12月，村被认定为「龙岩市第一批中级版绿盈乡村」；另有3次获「龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号，时间分别为2021年1月、2023年1月和2024年1月，对应2020、2022、2023年度。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域面积5.7平方千米，村内有塘坑、条河两个自然村，共10个村民小组。[1]村中有湖河水电站一座，装机容量575千瓦。[1]
