历史沿革[edit]
1949年前此地为堂堡乡村中保，1949年后设村中农会。1958年成立钢铁公社管理区，1960年设堂堡公社村中大队。1984年为堂堡乡村中村民委员会，2020年1月起属堂堡镇村中村民委员会。[1]
村中村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2025年7月，村被确认为龙岩市永定区2025年区级「一村一品」专业村，产品为油茶。[1]
经济[edit]
村民以种植粮食、烤烟、地瓜和芋子为主；近年来，服务业和运输业增长较快。[1]
文化[edit]
1929年红四军前委领导的住地居易楼和竹林馆，设在河坑村与村中村一带，竹林馆在本村境内。[2]
