彩霞村位于城郊镇东南部，地处省道309线一侧约300米，距县城约3公里。[1]

村名的来历：棉花滩水电站建设时，附近的村民迁来此地安置，经征求各方意见后定名为彩霞。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年，因棉花滩水电站建设，村民迁至城郊乡龙门岗；2000年8月，设立彩霞村民委员会。[1][2]

2021年1月，村子被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2024年1月，又获「2023年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」称号。[1]
