古一村位于城郊镇西南部，处在县道抚石公路两侧，距县城约1.5公里，是城郊镇政府所在地。[1]

村子旧称古镇坪，明朝初年设巡检司驻守，历来是重镇。因居于原古镇村的第一大队，村名称古一。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，古一所在地归九乡的三连保管辖，1949至1951年间一度叫做古镇。1961年4月，此地被编入古镇公社，村名为古一大队；1968年8月，它转入城关公社。1984年初，它进入城郊公社，当年四月则改隶城郊乡，并设古一村民委员会。[1]

2021年11月，村子获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

林地5435亩、耕地316亩，全村总面积6575亩。村子于2007年纳入县城区规划。[1]

村内设完全中学1所、完小1所、幼儿园2所。村中仍有不少危旧房屋，是城区内的一类城中村。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的主要产业是以六月红早熟芋为代表的蔬菜种植。[1]
