樟尧村位于城郊镇南部，与广东省大埔县茶阳镇相邻，距县城约4公里。[1][2]

村名由樟坑、牛角科两个自然村各取一字组成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，樟尧一带隶属九乡的龙磜保；解放后归书院乡。1961年，此地进入古镇公社的辖区，初名樟牛大队。1968年8月转为城关公社下的红星大队，1973年又恢复樟牛大队之名。[1][2]

1984年初，它被并入城郊公社；同年四月又归城郊乡，当时的村委会叫樟牛村民委员会，此后改称樟尧村民委员会。[1][2]

2023年1月，村子被命名为「2022年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」；2021年1月，曾被命名为「2020年度龙岩市平安村居（社区）」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

耕地427亩、林地7303亩，合计7782亩；村内有3个自然村、4个村民小组。[1][2]

村辖区内蕴藏矿产，据地质专家测定，含多种稀有金属，并有较多硐矿与铁矿。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的主要产业是烤烟、柑桔和蜂蜜。[1]
