信美村位于峰市镇，解放前称万美堡。土地改革时，两村各取一字，定名为信美。村内的副榜炉是当地特产，抚馆城遗迹也在村中。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地早先因溪水冲积成坝，称坝尾，后改称湾里，再改为万美。解放前叫万美堡，居民由八姓组成。土地改革时，两村各取一字组合，定名信美。[1]
解放前，这里叫作信美堡与信美乡。新中国成立后归第九区，设在下水乡境内；公社时期称信美大队。“文革”初改称反帝大队，1984年6月改设信美村民委员会，此后仍称信美村。[1]
在峰市的九个革命基点村中，本村的高寨背自然村占有一席。[1]
信美村获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，时间是2021年11月，授予方为省爱卫办；同年12月，它又被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。2025年11月，村庄被认定为「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
经济[edit]
青梅、桃子、李子与小米焦都是村里的出产。[1]
文化[edit]
副榜炉又名“峰炉”，是信美村的特产，因创制人童祖宠在清雍正壬子科中副榜而得名。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村中的抚馆城，名字取自抚民馆城，民间亦叫“武衙”，与河头城同为当年的“两城”之一。[1]
